Heroes-Will you Watch?

Note: If you'd like to see NBC's full 2006-2007 schedule, click here.

NBC's official description: (from NBC's press release) They thought they were like everyone else...until they woke with incredible powers. In Japan, a lowly office worker can teleport at will. In New York, a struggling artist can paint the future. In Los Angeles, a discontented beat cop can hear the thoughts of others. Heroes chronicles the lives of these people, and the lives of others like them – whose destiny just might be the saving of humankind...but first they must come to grips with their newfound powers. This original, edge-of-your-seat thriller will make you wonder if there really are heroes among us.

Starring: Adrian Pasdar (Desperate Housewives), Ali Larter (Final Destination 2), Greg Grunberg (Weiss on Alias), Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls and The Bedford Diaries), and more.

Mondays at 9/8 on NBC

This is my most anticipated new show of the year. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello has already seen the rough draft for the pilot and is hyping it as potentially the next Lost. It's got mainstream appeal (just look at how many superhero movies have rocked the box office lately), a great concept, and a pretty solid cast (it's great to see Greg Grunberg finally get a bigger role). The one problem is that it didn't get the best timeslot. It has the incompatible Deal or No Deal as a lead-in and come January, it will likely have to compete with FOX's 24 (unless NBC is wise and moves it). This is the best show concept I've seen since Lost and I really hope viewers can recognize it. I'm slightly worried about ratings but if NBC hypes it enough, this could be a top ten show.

Are you going to give Heroes a chance come fall?
